How to “Tantour”

"Tan-touring," is the lazy girl beauty hack you didn’t know you needed. It uses fake tan to create long lasting contour so you look sculpted makeup free. It’s perfect for winter months when we need a little help faking the glow.

Before You Begin:

You'll need your favourite FACE fake tan, and a makeup brush or blending sponge that you don’t mind getting a little bronzed (the sponge will soak up more product so a brush is preferable to apply, then blend with a sponge). For the tan, we would recommend choosing a product with a guide colour, like a mouse or a cream. Having a coloured tan makes it easier to see where you're applying the tan.

Prep your skin: Exfoliate and moisturise your skin. This step is super important to help create a smooth canvas.

Application:

  1. Apply a small amount of tan to your brush or sponge

  2. Start with your cheekbones. Create a "3" shape on each side of your face by applying the tan in a curved line from your temples, along your cheekbones, and down to your jawline. Blend - we like to use a sponge for this.

  3. Apply a small amount of self-tanner along your jawline to define it. Blend.

  4. Add a little self-tanner along the sides of your nose to make it appear slimmer - an eyeshadow brush is best for this! Blend

  5. Apply a small amount to the sides of your forehead to create the illusion of a smaller forehead. Blend

  6. Tip: Use your brush to apply along your collarbone to make it pop.

Once you have finished, leave your tan to develop as you would with any tan and wash when needed. Your contour should last a few days, no makeup needed!
